Abstract:Objective To provide pharmaceutical care for patients with infection complicating with epilepsy from clinical pharmacists to improve rational use of drugs. Methods By supervising the whole process of treatment for a patient with fever as chief complaint complicating with epilepsy, clinical pharmacists provided pharmaceutical care in terms of antibiotics, hepatoprotective agents, acid-reducing drugs, glucocorticoid and antiepileptic agents, and put forward precautions and suggestion. Results Clinical pharmacists participated in the clinical treatment, provided pharmaceutical care for doctors, nurses and patients directly, and enhanced the therapeutic effi cacy. Conclusion By participating in clinical practice, clinical pharmacists play an important role in the rational use of drugs and provide patients with better pharmacy service.
